- Welcome! I hope you will find this a happy place to hang out for a time. I want to give you a view of life in Alaska; share my childhood in Whitefish, Mont.; share my current life in Moses Lake, Washington; maybe pass on some recipes; relay a bit of trivia; share some funny jokes; and sometimes give you some deeper subjects to ponder. Most of all, I want to make this a fun place to visit. God bless all of you! ABOUT ME: Fourth generation Whitefish, Montanan; my husband Troy and I packed up our three kids and console color TV and moved to Alaska in 1975. We spent eight years in the bush (two in Bettles and six in Coldfoot) but most of our time was in North Pole. I am a business owner, author, columnist, and artist but, most importantly, I'm a Christian, devoted wife, mother of three, grandmother of 11, and a great-grandmother of 7. God has blessed me with a wonderful family. I have two published novels, The Widows of Danford, and Journey to the Bone Tree, available through me, in book stores, on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, etc. My third novel, Montana Legacy, will be out in a few months.
